French Web and Social Media Internship – Home-Based

The Office of Communications at UNDP is at the forefront of advancing online communications and outreach within the organization. Project Description The Digital Communications team works closely with the other teams in the Communications group to ensure that the tone and visual representation of UNDP branded products are consistent. Reporting to the Website Specialist, French, the Intern will support the team conceptualizing and creating web and social media visual assets for campaigns, events and other promotional purposes (French). Duties and Responsibilities The interested candidate will: Research content and produce French language material and updates for French social media platforms (Facebook, X); Ensure global campaigns follow up and support, and audience engagement on French social media platforms; Produce graphic material to be used on French social media platforms; Provide assistance in curating and presenting stories, images and videos in UNDP’s web content management system; Review and edit web stories, headlines and captions in French and English, liaising with the rest of the team to ensure consistency across languages; Assist in reviewing French translations, proofreading and reformulating, if necessary, for optimal web presentation; Assist the French Web Editor in maintaining contacts with content providers in order to solicit material for website, and/or for approval of drafts; Support the monthly reporting of digital channels performance (French) by gathering and analyzing main metrics. Competencies Excellent French writing and editing skills; Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; Attention to detail is crucial; Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic; Interest in global issues and the United Nations; Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and be aware of political sensitivities. Required Skills and Experience Education: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:  (a) Be enrolled in a graduate school Programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);(b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree Programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent);(c) Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation. Experience: Web and social media experience is an asset. Language: Native French and fluency in written and spoken English; Spanish desirable. Availability: Must be available at least four days a week. Reporting to the team’s Visual Designer, the Intern will support the team conceptualizing and creating web and social media visual assets (Gifs, infographics, carousels, collages, illustrations, etc) for campaigns, events and other promotional purposes. Duties and Responsibilities The interested candidate will: Produce visual work that supports the implementation and achievement of UNDP’s Digital Strategy; Create graphics (e.g. infographics, illustrations, animated GIFs) and other visual material for UNDP’s social media channels intending to influence and/or develop positive public perceptions of the corporate brand; Design visually-engaging digital products including graphics and illustrations for single-page applications, microsites, and feature stories; Participate in ideation and conceptualization of campaigns and promotion material; Illustrate, animate and produce multimedia pieces to promote UNDP’s communication efforts in UNDP’s homepage. Test and introduce new visual methods and ideas to advance UNDP’s digital communications; Perform other duties within your functional profile as assigned and deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the office. Competencies Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; Attention to detail is crucial; Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic; Interest in global issues and the United Nations; Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and be aware of political sensitivities; Solid knowledge of Adobe CC Package (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) and Figma. Professional work experience, if any, will be considered a plus. Proven experience in multimedia design for social media and web is preferred; Proven experience in designing infographics is highly desirable; Experience and proficiency with Photoshop, llustrator, After Effects and Media Encoder for 2D animation is preferred. Ability to produce high quality products under tight deadlines; Knowledge of and previous experience in UNDP/UN agency and/or similar organization is considered an asset. Language: Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English are required. A working knowledge of French and Spanish is desirable. Availability: Must be available at least four days a week. Présent dans 177 pays et territoires, le PNUD offre une perspective mondiale et des connaissances locales aux peuples et aux nations. La mission du PNUD au Maroc est double. Par son expertise internationale, il propose au gouvernement marocain des analyses et des solutions adaptées aux défis des solutions de développement. En outre, le PNUD joue un rôle fédérateur dans la mobilisation et la coordination de nombreux partenaires nationaux et internationaux autour d’un agenda commun : la réalisation des Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD). Dans le cadre de ses activités de communication, le PNUD Maroc cherche à renforcer sa présence en ligne et à améliorer la qualité de son contenu multimédia. Duties and Responsibilities Objectif du stage L’objectif de ce stage est de soutenir l’équipe de communication du PNUD Maroc dans la création de contenus multimédias variés (vidéos, infographies, images, animations, etc.) afin de promouvoir les initiatives et projets du PNUD Maroc auprès des différentes parties prenantes, y compris le grand public, les partenaires et les donateurs. Tâches et Responsabilités Sous la supervision directe de l’Analyste en Communication du PNUD Maroc, le/la stagiaire en création de contenu multimédia sera chargé(e) des tâches suivantes : Conception graphique : Créer des visuels attrayants pour les réseaux sociaux, les présentations, et les rapports (infographies, bannières, affiches, etc.). Production vidéo : Filmer, monter et éditer des vidéos courtes pour des plateformes numériques, en mettant l’accent sur les projets du PNUD et les témoignages des bénéficiaires. Animation et motion design : Développer des animations simples pour illustrer les données et les concepts clés des projets du PNUD. Photographie : Prendre et retoucher des photos lors d’événements ou sur le terrain pour illustrer les actions du PNUD. Support à la gestion des réseaux sociaux : Collaborer à la gestion et à la planification des publications sur les réseaux sociaux en proposant des idées créatives pour augmenter l’engagement du public. Veille créative : Se tenir informé(e) des nouvelles tendances en matière de création de contenu multimédia et proposer des idées innovantes pour améliorer la qualité et l’impact du contenu du PNUD. Competencies Compétences techniques : Maîtrise des logiciels de création graphique et de montage vidéo (Adobe Creative Suite : Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.). Créativité : Forte capacité à produire des contenus visuellement attrayants et adaptés aux différents canaux de communication (réseaux sociaux, site web, présentations). Compétences en communication : Excellente capacité à comprendre et traduire des concepts complexes en contenus visuels accessibles. Autonomie : Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante tout en étant intégré(e) dans une équipe, avec une grande rigueur et un sens du détail. Required Skills and Experience Formation requise: Les candidat(e)s doivent répondre à l’une des exigences d’éducation académiques suivantes : (a) Être inscrit(e) à un programme de diplôme de troisième cycle (tel qu’un master ou un diplôme supérieur); (b) Être inscrit(e) en dernière année académique d’un programme de diplôme universitaire de deuxième cycle (tel qu’une licence ou équivalent); (c) Avoir récemment obtenu un diplôme universitaire (comme mentionné en (a) et (b) ci-dessus) et, si sélectionné(e), commencer le stage dans l’année suivant l’obtention de ce diplôme ; (d) Être inscrit(e) à un programme de formation professionnelle de troisième cycle et effectuer le stage dans le cadre de ce programme. Domaine d’études : un domaine pertinent tel que le design graphique, la production audiovisuelle, le marketing digital, ou tout autre domaine connexe. Langues: La maîtrise du français et de l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit est requise . La connaissance de l’arabe est un atout. Durée du stage Le stage aura une durée de six (6) mois, avec possibilité de prolongation en fonction des performances du/de la stagiaire et des besoins du PNUD Maroc. Lieu de travail Le/la stagiaire sera basé(e) au bureau du PNUD Maroc à Rabat, avec la possibilité de travailler à distance selon les exigences du stage. Supervision Le/la stagiaire travaillera sous la supervision directe de l’Analyste en Communication du PNUD Maroc. Des évaluations régulières seront effectuées pour assurer la qualité des livrables et le développement professionnel du/de la stagiaire.
